Northwest School District | Valley Middle School

As part of the Northwest School District’s 2023 Bond, Valley Middle School is making significant enhancements to its campus, with a major highlight being the addition of a new Fine Arts storm shelter. This multipurpose space will serve as a dedicated area for the school’s growing music and speech/drama programs, providing students and staff with state-of-the-art facilities to foster creativity and performance. Designed to double as a storm shelter, the addition will also offer essential protection during severe weather events, enhancing overall campus safety.

Additional improvements include extending exterior canopies to provide weather protection for students traveling between buildings. Several restrooms will undergo ADA-compliant upgrades and receive updated finishes, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all. The staff lounge will also be reconfigured to include a hallway connection to the new Fine Arts addition.

To further strengthen campus security, courtyards will be enclosed with new fencing, limiting public access and creating a safer environment for students. Additional site improvements, including fencing and gates, will enhance traffic control and ensure secure campus boundaries.
