Northwest School District | High School Addition
The Northwest High School Gymnasium Addition was completed to support the growing needs of the school’s athletic programs while enhancing safety and functionality across the campus. The two-story addition provides dedicated spaces for weightlifting and wrestling, with the first floor housing a new weight room and the second floor featuring a wrestling area. Both spaces were designed with flexibility in mind, allowing them to accommodate a variety of athletic and community activities.
A key component of the project was the addition of the high school’s first ICC-rated tornado safe room, providing a secure refuge for students, staff, and visitors during severe weather events. Additional campus improvements included the installation of a perimeter fence surrounding the classroom wings, further strengthening security and supporting a safe and welcoming environment for the school community.
