Granite City School District | Softball Field & Master Plan
The Granite City School District’s commitment to enhancing its athletic facilities began with an Athletic Master Plan, guiding the placement of a new softball facility while considering future improvements. This planning effort ensured the new field integrated seamlessly with the district’s long-term vision for athletics.
The new all-turf softball field consolidates multiple sports activities onto one site, providing a durable and flexible playing surface. Its design allows for the relocation of bases and the use of a portable pitching mound, enabling the district to host little league baseball games in addition to high school competitions. The project also included a 60-space expansion of the existing parking lot, the relocation of the soccer practice field, and the installation of site fencing around the campus—improving accessibility, functionality, and security.
